Hengifoss in Fljótsdalur valley is the third highest waterfall in Iceland, 118 meters. The surroundings are quite unique due to thin, red layers of clay between the basaltic lavas. It´s only half an hour drive away but we just went up there for the first time. It´s beautiful hike and easy for the every age. Well... if you have a baby backpack. And regular snack stops.
